QUESTIONS AND EXPLANATIONS::
How does it work?
UV light is highly effective in killing viruses and bacteria.
BUT it should only be used to disinfect objects and surfaces.
Under no circumstances should it be used on people, pets or any living organism.
The very short-wave range of UV light with a wavelength of 280-100 nm is known as “UV-C” and is highly effective in sterilizing surfaces.
By comparison:
Long wave UV light is called UV-A, short wave – UV-B, very short wave – UV-C.
It has been scientifically proven that the very short-wave UV-C light can disinfect surfaces within seconds.
It kills bacteria and virus particles efficiently.
However at the same time, UV-C light is harmful to health and eyes.
Therefore you should take careful measures to ensure you never expose yourself to direct UV light:
Only objects and surfaces should be treated with UV light!
How do I know that the UV-C light is operating inside the SteriBox?
By pressing the “Start/Stop” button on the SteriBox the disinfection will start.
This takes 1 minute and is indicated by the flashing LED light on the SteriBox.
Never open the box while the LED light is flashing.
Wait 1 minute until the indicator light stops flashing.
If the indicator light comes on again without flashing, you can open the SteriBox again.
What does the LED light on the lid indicate?
LED flashes slowly:
Battery is being charged, after the charging process the LED is no longer lit.
LED lights up:
Device is switched on and ready for operation
LED flashes quickly:
Disinfection process active (do NOT open the device during this time!)
LED flashes 3x quickly after switching on (in 5 repetitions):
Battery must be charged.
How long is the battery charging time?
The charging time depends on the charging adapter (5V/0.5-2A).
At 2A approx. 1-1.5 hours.
At 0.5A the loading time can be 4 times longer.
